Small devices that each solve exactly one problem, perfectly.

Not everything needs to be a platform. Some of my favourite builds are tiny single-purpose gadgets — a sensor, a microcontroller, a little screen, and one job done well.

A box that watches the workshop and pings me if something’s wrong. A display that shows exactly the one number I care about that day. A gadget that turns a fiddly recurring annoyance into a button press. Each one is a weekend, a bit of soldering, and a small satisfying fix to daily life.

They’re where I try new sensors and ideas before they graduate into something bigger — a sketchbook made of solder and Raspberry Pis.
